1) Anti-inflammatory effect:
I-ONE therapy acts as antagonist specifically to on the A2a adenosine receptors placed on the membrane of the inflammatory cells. This produces a strong anti-inflammatory effect at tissue level combined with a reduced production of free radicals and pro-inflammatory cytokines.
2) Anabolic effect on the cartilage:
