DBM Sonic Aurora
Neonatal

With DBM Sonic Aurora it is now possible to:

- Follow up bone structure modification, in neonates pre-term or at term.
- Monitor the bone development.
- Control the effects of nutritional or pharmacological interventions.

DBM Sonic Aurora has been precisely developed for neonatal application:

- it does not use ionizing radiations potentially harmful for the child. Ultrasounds are harmless and reliable.
- it is simple and repeatable. The exam is performed through a delicate and very quick measurement at metacarpus (or humerus). The procedure is absolutely harmless and does not require sedation. The child is not requested to lie still during the measurement.
- it can be done at bedside. It is not necessary to transfer the neonate from the thermal cradle or incubator, even in neonatal intensive care.
- it shows reference curves, that enable to normalize the measurement values according to child’s gestational age, post-natal age, and anthropometric characteristics.

DBM Sonic Bone Profiler is an essential tool to every neonatologist for the care of preterm infants.
